Here are some links to reports of some Spearhead and Modern Spearhead games I've played. Some are written by my opponents, and others by myself.
August 2015: WW2 British versus Germans. The year is 1944, and I, using a British force equipped with Churchill VIIs take on Rhys's Pz IV-equipped Germans in a cracking bocage-impeded Normandy game.
August 2015: Part One (of five) posts on my blog about a very large WW2 game I played with Paul Reynolds, Rhys Batchelor, Jon Palmer, and Peter Page, recreating the action at the Falaise gap in the Normandy campaign in in 1944. See also parts 2, 3, 4, and 5.
4 January 2014: Part One (of eight) posts on my blog about a very large game I played with Aaron Bell and Pat Hirtle (with me mostly umpiring). The year was 1979, and the Czechoslovakian 15th Division (yes, the whole thing!) met the American 3ID 1st Brigade in a meeting engagement. Nine game turns were played. See also parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8.
27 October 2013: Soviets versus Americans. The year is 1979, and the first elements of the Soviet 31st Motor Rifle Division encounter a scratch force of Americans mostly drawn from the US 3rd Infantry division's 3rd Brigade that are attempting to reach their pre-allocated defensive positions. Game length: 8 turns.
5 September 2013: Czechoslovakians versus Germans. The year is 1945, and my Czechoslovakian 1st Corps' 1st Brigade takes on a veteran Paratroop regiment of Rhys Batchelor's in a Mutual Encounter game using Attack lists. Game length: 8 turns.
4 September 2013: Czechoslovakians versus West Germans. The year is 1979, and part of my Czechoslovakian 3rd Motor Rifle Division meet a West German formation fielded by Rhys Batchelor in an Advance to Contact scenario. Another short game, of just 5 turns.
3 September 2013: Czechoslovakians versus Americans. The year is 1979, and two regiments from my Czechoslovakian 3rd Motor Rifle Division meet some Americans of Rhys Batchelor's in a Mutual Encounter game using Defend lists. A long game, spanning 14 turns and featuring some strange flank marching...
2 September 2013: Czechoslovakians versus Americans. The year is 1979, and part of my Czechoslovakian 3rd Motor Rifle Division conducts a Hasty Attack on a brigade of Rhys Batchelor's Americans stationed in southern Germany. Game length: 7 turns.
1 September 2013: Czechoslovakians versus Germans. The year is 1945, and my Czechoslovakian 1st Corps' 1st Brigade takes on another lot of Panzergrenadiers; this lot commanded by Rhys Batchelor. A short game, of just 4 turns, with me conducting a Hasty Attack.
1 September 2013: Czechoslovakians versus Germans. The year is 1945, and elements of the British-equipped Czechoslovakian Armoured Brigade Group commanded by myself take on a veteran German paratroop regiment commanded by Rhys Batchelor in a Hasty Attack game - and come off very much second best after 6 turns of action...
August 2013: Czechoslovakians versus Germans. The year is 1945, and elements of my Czechoslovakian 1st Corps get their first outing in an Advance to Contact game against some of Keith McNelly's Panzergrenadiers; report by Keith (this was my first WW2 Spearhead game).
August 2012: Czechoslovakians versus Americans. The year is 1980, and the Cold War has gone hot. Another Mutual Encounter game between Aaron Bell and myself, with Aaron using his newly painted US 3rd Infantry Division forces. The report is extensive, and comes in three parts: Part I, Part II, and Part III; Aaron wrote the first two, and I the third.
January 2012: Czechoslovakians versus Poles. The year is 1979, and the Warsaw Pact has obviously fallen apart. A Mutual Encounter game between Aaron Bell and myself, with both sides supplied by me, and written up by Aaron.
